Declaration statements for all professionals registering onto the CMFT Cervical Sample Taker Database (CSTD) As clinicians, you are professionally responsible and accountable for your practice and therefore expected to ensure that you continuously work to improve the safety, effectiveness and quality of the cervical screening service. The NHS Cervical Screening Programme (NHS CSP) guidance recommends that all sample takers have completed foundation training and attend 3 yearly updates for best practice.
